Hi! I am Julie Dennis, the owner of OVID Solutions. I have nearly two decades of local, state and federal government experience. I have dedicated my career to helping communities accomplish their goals, focusing on:
Working Waterfronts Revitalization
Climate and Sea Level Rise Adaptation
Most recently, I served as Florida's top community development official, where I oversaw nearly $200 million in annual federal and state grant programs as well as designed and implemented Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery programs totaling over one billion in the wake of Hurricanes Hermine, Matthew and Irma. In addition, I spent years overseeing traditional CDBG funds and managed most of the state funding available to help rural communities grow their economy. I know how to make your community competitive for these dollars because my team and I made decisions on how it is spent.
Currently, I am honored to be supporting recovery efforts in some of the hardest hit areas in 2017 and 2018 including the Florida Panhandle, Florida Keys and Town of Paradise in California. For more information on my experience, click here. But enough boring stuff about what I’ve done in my career - let’s talk about how I can help you. My passion is helping people and communities achieve their goals. Seriously – it is what I live for every day. I can’t wait to pour my heart and soul into your work.
JULIE DENNIS, OWNER

Hello! I’m Lori Cox, Owner of Galvanized Growth Solutions, Inc. I’m proud to partner with OVID Solutions to support a range issues from transportation planning to sea level rise adaptation and resiliency. I have over 16 years of experience supporting transportation and environmental planning initiatives all over Florida.
As an AICP-certified Planner, I have a background in land use and comprehensive plan review along with a extensive knowledge base in transportation issues. Supporting FDOT for nearly a decade, I developed relationships with state and local officials as well as learned the FDOT Work Program funding process. I’ve also successfully obtained and implemented a freight logistics research grant through the Florida Highway Administration that received international attention.
I believe that effective planning must be holistic and examine a host of issues. I look forward to working with your community through OVID Solutions to help find funding for large infrastructure projects to serve as a catalyst for long-term recovery following disasters or create innovative strategies to respond to sea level rise.
Hi! I am Mia Parker, an independent contractor who specializes in grant management. I served as a state agency contract and project manger for over six years, where I oversaw over $25 million in federal and state funding. In this capacity, I gained valuable experience in contract and project administration, fiscal and program compliance monitoring, and interpreting regulations, statues and administrative codes.
During my career, I have worked to provide assistance to some of the most vulnerable among our community, homeless elderly and disabled persons. For eight years, I have worked to fund, oversee and manage programs that served the homeless, helped to identify service gaps in programs and services, and collaborated with community service providers. I also understand complex fair housing laws and can help to design programs that consider these requirements. It is my hope to utilize my experience and knowledge to help communities recovering from disasters in its efforts to regain stability, engage community partners, assess needs, and devise long-term planning.
