Julie Dennis has two decades of local, state and federal government experience.  She has dedicated her career to helping communities accomplish their goals, focusing on: 

  • Grant Writing and Management

  • Disaster Recovery and Hazard Mitigation

  • Rural Economic Development

  • Affordable Housing Program Design and Implementation 

  • Working Waterfronts Revitalization

  • Climate and Sea Level Rise Adaptation

She served as Florida's top community development official, overseeing nearly $200 million in annual federal and state grant programs. She designed and implemented Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery programs totaling over one billion in the wake of Hurricanes Hermine, Matthew and Irma. In addition, she spent years overseeing traditional CDBG funds and managed most of the state funding available to help rural communities grow their economy. She knows how to make your community competitive for these dollars because she made decisions on how it is spent. 


Currently, she is supporting economic development efforts in Wakulla County and long-term recovery efforts in Jackson County as well as advising on projects from across the nation. Through her work with OVID she supported the recovery some of the hardest hit areas in 2017 and 2018 including the Florida Panhandle, Florida Keys and Town of Paradise in California. Michele Brantley is the Project Coordinator for OVID Solutions.  Her work involves keeping the OVID team on task through daily scheduling and making sure the projects we have stay on track and the needs of our clients are met. She also assists with special projects for our rural clients.


Michele was raised in Destin, Florida in a family deeply involved in the growth of their hometown. Her mother was a city planning director and father was a local architect. Being exposed to the language of development instilled in her an understanding of the importance of taking care of the community in which we live.  She has spent the last 20 years in Jefferson County where her love for rural communities continues to grow. Throughout her career, she has focused on managing teams, schedules, and special projects to achieve results. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University.   Her educational background, career achievements, and experience prepared her to hit-the-ground- running to help your communities reach their desired goals. 


Kalynn Woodward is a Project Analyst for OVID Solutions. She works with communities to develop plans and projects to reach future goals. Kalynn assists with plan development, grant writing and management to make sure your projects are complete and meet important deadlines. In addition, she assists with marketing efforts and reporting. Kalynn was raised in Wakulla County, Florida and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of West Florida with a focus on project management. Through diving deep into what makes a community unique, her goal is to help develop projects that are individualized to meet a community's specific needs.  

Currently, Kalynn is supporting grant writing in Jackson County, FL along with grant management for Gulf Specimen Marine Lab, a non-profit organization in Wakulla County. 


Megan Rasmussen is the Business Coordinator for OVID Solutions. Her focus is on the business administration side and involves managing billing, invoicing, reporting, marketing, and time keeping. This allows for the rest of Team OVID to stay focused on working with on the goals of a community. 


Megan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Political Science. She is exploring doctoral programs focused on immunology and infectious diseases.  She is excited to work with our clients and partner to keep our projects on track and make sure needs are met.
